Which process should I use for my project? Offset or Digital?

If you have a smaller, short run project, digital would be best. If your project requires stock that is not conducive to digital or you have a higher quantity, choose offset. The difference is that digital printing does not require plates, so the initial set-up is more affordable. If you’re in doubt, give us a call, we can help you find the right printing method.

How long does it take to print an order?

Depending on how big your job is, the length of the job may vary. If you order a small short run project we can have it done for you in no time! However, if you order a job that requires, cutting, folding, scoring, binding etc., the job will take longer. If you have a specific deadline to meet we will make sure your job is done right on time!

Do we deliver?

Yes. We can arrange delivery based on your location. Whether we delivery it directly to you or we arrange for a courier, we will get your job to you!

How will I know when my order will be ready?

Don’t worry! We will either let you know when your order is ready by email or by calling you! If you have a specific day you would like your order for, let us know and we will get the job done in time to meet your deadline.

What is a "Bleed"?

A “bleed” is when the ink prints to the very edge of the paper. When using “bleeds” you must allow for the art to extend 1/8″ beyond the page border.  Our in-house graphic design team can guide you with this process.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes of course.  We will let you know when your order is ready and we will have it ready for you to pick up from our facility in Orangeville.

How do I prepare my files for print?

A print ready, high quality Adobe PDF file is the preferred format for printing. A PDF is a “locked” format so there are no problems with text reflow when the files are opened on different computers. PDF can be read on any PDF reader, free at the Adobe website and can be edited if needed. Make sure that all graphics are either grayscale or CMYK images.

What is the difference between RBG and CMYK?

RGB refers to the primary colours of light, Red, Green and Blue that are used on your computer screen.CMYK refers to the primary colours of pigment: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. Many programs have the capability to convert the layout/images from the RGB to the CMYK. However, not all colours available in RGB are reproducible in CMYK.

What type of proof will I see or receive?

Most proofs can be approved over a pdf. But in the event that you would like to see a proof before printing that is not a problem. Depending on the project we may be able to make arrangements so that you can see a real sample proof before we hit print.

Can you colour match a sample?

We do our very best to match your colour sample however, there is no guarantee your finished piece will be exactly like your printed sample. This is because of the widely varying results from the different output devices including inkjet and laser printers, continuous tone proofing devices, high-resolution film-based proofs and different offset lithography. Basically every printer is different therefore the colour will never be exactly the same but we will do everything we can to get the colour right.

Do I need to set up my business cards 8 up or 10 up I they will be printed more than 1 to a sheet?

No, send us a single layout (1‑up) high quality PDF of your work and we will handle the rest!
